Asin, the sizzling hot southern babe who made her super bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajini’ and stars in Salman Khan’s ‘London Dreams’, has denied that she rejected the offer to work opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Asin has clarified that director Farah Khan never came to her with a film opposite Shah Rukh Khan and so there was no question of denying the same. In fact, Farah Khan, who Asin claims as her friend, was more furious at the thought of being rejected by any actress. The ‘Om Shanti Om’ director went on slamming the talk of ‘Happy New Year’ rejection by saying that no heroine in bollywood had the guts to refuse her film, and that too when it starred King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan.
In fact, Farah says that she had yet to complete the scripting stage of the film and till its completion, she could not even think of casting anyone, except Shah Rukh Khan.
It may be recalled that the industry has been abuzz with the talk of Asin rejecting Shah Rukh Khan’s film due to her proximity with Salman Khan, with whom she has been working in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick ‘London Dreams.’
It was being conjectured that Salman Khan did not want Asin to work with his enemies, especially Shah Rukh Khan. The rumor got more credence from the fact that Salman had in the past prevented his brothers and beau Katrina Kaif from keeping any relationship with Shah Rukh Khan.
nother theory doing the rounds in the industry is that Salman Khan induced Asin not to work with Shah Rukh Khan through Aamir Khan, who was Asin’s first hero in bollywood. Sallubhai knew that Asin would not say no to Aamir. And it’s a well known fact that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have been bonding great time for the last few months.
‘Happy New Year’ is one of the most ambitious flicks of Farah Khan and she has decided to make it with Shah Rukh Khan even before his own home production ‘Ra.1’ goes on the floor. Shah Rukh decided to postpone shooting of ‘Ra.1’, as it needed high- pitched action sequences from him, and he was still not fit for doing those action sequences due to his shoulder injury that he sustained during the shoot of Vivek Vaswani’s ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’
