Lara Dutta, who has become the latest bikini babe of Bollywood with ‘Blue’, says that she overcame her hydrophobia by shooting for the under water action flick.
The 31-year-old actress will be seen doing underwater stunts with Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt in the film. They were sent to Ko Samui (Thailand) to become certified divers.
“You would not believe but I was a hydrophobic earlier but after Blue I can proudly say that I am certified diver now which is a huge achievement for me,” Lara said.
The actress, whose svelte figure in the film has become the talk of the town, had to go through a rigorous training to learn swimming and scuba diving for the film which is being touted as Bollywood’s first underwater movie.
“’Blue’ is a completely different film where I’ve had a few action scenes too,” the actress says about her role in the movie.
Directed by Anthony D’Souza, the film boasts of a formidable cast that includes Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif and a song-appearance by Kylie Minogue.
“Sanjay Dutt is a great actor and I liked working with him as well. We’ve shot the movie underwater, I think the audience will like the film,” said Lara, who is paired opposite Dutt in the film.
