Dil Bole Hadippa - Bollywood movie review

Mumbai, India: Another masala movie from Yash Raj Banner. The story of romance, passion and dreams with twists and turns, exotic location and colorful costumes. A complete hindi masala movie which stars Rani Mukjerjee and Shahid Kapoor accompanied by Anupam Kher, Sherlyn Choppra, Raakhi Sawant, Dalip Tahil, Vrajesh Hirjee, Sri Vallabh Vyas.

The story unfolds with Shahid Kapoor (Rohan) returning to India to head his father’s cricket team and Rani Mukharjee (Veera) a village girl dreaming to play cricket with the Indian Cricketing legends, disguises herself as Veer Partap Singh ends playing international cricket match with Tendulkar and Dhoni for India.

The duo Rohan (Shahid Kapoor) and Veer Partap Singh (Rani) end up playing for India against their traditional rival Pakistan to win the match which otherwise would have been lost.

The story line is predictable and the audience can foretell the events as they unfold thought the first half of the movie keeps the views gripped with the comic scenes. Pritam’s music is disappointing but cinematography is breathtaking. Shahid Kapoor gets overshadowed by Rani’s performance.

Public generally expects much more from Yash Raj movies, Dil Bole Hadippa brings romance, costumes, rich locations, comedy etc but does not live up to the expectations people have from Yash Raj Films
