Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai have not made a film together this decade. After the fallout of their relationship and subsequently the Vivek Oberoi saga, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai have never patched things up. In a recent interview, Salman Khan talked about his past relationship with Aishwarya Rai and it felt like someone had just cut open a healing wound.
Aishwarya Rai on the other hand have been very quiet about their past relationship. The now Mrs. Bachchan have worked with a lot of stars of the Bollywood industry, however, it is the pairing with Salman Khan in "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" that struck a perfect romantic chord with her fans. It's not that Aishwarya Rai have not given successfull films without Salman Khan or vice versa, its just that they are such huge stars and have such a massive fan following that I can only wonder what could have been had the continued to star opposite each other.
According to several polls over the past few years, the verdict of the fans is clear. That they want Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai to get back together and make a masterpiece again. Hope they can bury their differences and get back to creating magic again
